Facets Kids Film Camp is a summer program that introduces kids ages 7-14 to the techniques, language, and process of film making. Professional filmmakers and respected critics provide expert instruction in what it takes to understand and create a film. For over 10 years, Facets Kids Film Camp has given children who love movies a chance to understand filmmaking from behind the scenes. Instruction includes:

At the end of the summer camp we invite friends and family to a special graduation ceremony featuring the world premiere of the participants’ movies.

Film Camp Session Dates: 

Session 1: June 18 - June 29, 2012
Ages 11-14: 9am-12:30pm
Ages 7-10: 2pm-5:30pm
Cost: $350

Session 2: July 9 - July 13, 2012
Ages 11-14: 9am-5pm (Full day, lunch included)
Cost: $450

Session 3: July 16 - July 20, 2012
Ages 7-10: 9am-5pm (Full day, lunch included)
Cost: $450

Location:

Facets Multi-Media, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago (In Lincoln Park, 1 block east of Ashland on Fullerton)

Close to Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wicker Park, Bucktown, DePaul, Roscoe Village, Avondale, and Logan Square

Discounts:

  • 10% application fee discount – for siblings of campers already enrolled.

  • 10% application fee discount - for active Patron Circle members.
