Does your child LOVE movies?

Facets Kids Film Camp is a summer enrichment program that introduces kids ages 7-14 to the techniques, language, and process of film making. For 20 years, Facets’ film educators, professional filmmakers and respected

critics have provided expert instruction in what it takes to create and understand movies.

Facets Kids Film Camp helps children develop self-confidence and critical thinking skills while fostering creative expression and collaboration in a fun environment. With an engaging combination of lecture, hands-on exercises, small group activities, writing and discussion, participants:

  • Learn film vocabulary, basic  filmmaking technique, and history as a foundation for movie appreciation and criticism.
  • Create a short film (camera shots, story development, storyboarding, screenwriting, acting, lighting, sound and directing) premiered the last day of Camp.

Making a movie, watching and talking about movies, writing reviews, or seeing the first movie ever made; there’s something for every child at Facets Kids Film Camp!

At the end of the summer camp we invite friends and family to a special graduation ceremony featuring the world premiere of the participants’ movies. Participants also receive a DVD of all of the films made at Camp at the end of the summer.
