Film fundamentals such as: film vocabulary, camera shots, story development, film review, film history, acting, and basic production technique are introduced through engaging presentations and dozens of hands-on activities.
Making a movie, watching and talking about movies, writing reviews, or seeing the first movie ever made; there's something for every budding film lover at Facets Kids Film Camp.
Calling all child and youth filmmakers - Have you made a movie? Then consider entering it in the Chicago International Children's Film Festival. There's no fee for films made by young people 18 and younger.

The annual Festival takes place in October & November and is the largest annual festival of films for children ages 2-18 in the world. Programming 250 of the best, new cinema for children’s and young people from 40 countries, the Festival welcomes audiences of 23,000 and features hand-on filmmaking workshops with post-screening Q&A’s with dozens of filmmakers and celebrities.
