Facets Kids Film Camp introduces kids ages 7-14 to the techniques, language and process of filmmaking. Professional filmmakers and respected critics provide a foundation in what it takes to understand, create, and review a film. June & July, full & half day sessions offered. FIND OUT MORE!

Intermediate Level Production

Kids ages 10-15 develop and produce a short film, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in filmmaking fundamentals such as cinematography, screenwriting, directing, and editing. A terrific intermediate level film production program for kids and teens. Preresequite: should be a graduate of Facets Kids Film Camp or have demonstrable knowledge of film production and vocabulary.

Calling all child and youth filmmakers - Have you made a movie? Then consider entering it in the Chicago International Children's Film Festival. There's no fee for films made by young people 18 and younger.

The annual Festival takes place in October & November and is the largest annual festival of films for children ages 2-18 in the world. Programming 250 of the best, new cinema for children’s and young people from 40 countries, the Festival welcomes audiences of 23,000 and features hand-on filmmaking workshops with post-screening Q&A’s with dozens of filmmakers and celebrities. Check out our website in September for the latest on Festival screenings and workshops!
