Let the Chicago International Children's Film Festival give your classroom a boost with an abundance of films from every corner of the world. As an antidote to reality television and high-octane blockbusters, the CICFF invites you to share films that inspire discussion of world cultures, language studies, cultural diversity, emotional intelligence, and human values.

Your students will love the trip to the movies and you'll appreciate the opportunity to get kids talking about issues that you can take back and use in the classroom. The festival is designed for children of all ages, and they'll come away with a life lesson, a positive message, and a mind full of images that will enrich their school days.

    Highlights of 'KidsFest'
  • Over 200 films from 40 countries around the world; there's something to speak to every class.
  • Age-appropriate programming with messages of diversity, values and global awareness. There's something for every interest and area of study!
  • A 120-page curriculum good for year-round classroom study in a wide range of subjects. The CICFF curriculum meets the Illinois 2003 learning goals! Every educator who attends receives this comprehensive study guide that contains worksheets, questions for classroom discussion, and suggested activities.
  • Professional development workshops on "Using Media to Boost Classroom Learning" are free of charge to teachers attending the Festival. CPDU's will be available to CPS teachers.
