In-School Screenings
Facets offers a variety of screening programs for all grade levels throughout the year, which we can bring to screen at your location. Choose from one of our pre-existing programs listed below, or speak with us to develop a customized program to suit the needs of your classroom or school.
All films are official selections from the Chicago International Children's Film Festival, and all programs include an introduction and post-screening discussion led by one of our trained media educators. Curriculum aligned with Illinois State Board of Education Learning Standards is also provided to teachers prior to the day of screening.
Please note that there are specific technical requirements listed below which must be met in order for us to screen in your location. You must be able to provide a darkened room, projector, screen, sound amplification via speaker system, and handheld microphone. See below for further details.

- Tickets are $8.00 per child for groups of 75 or more. For groups fewer than 75, and for locations outside of the Chicago-metro area, additional fees apply.
- Group leaders and chaperones attend for free! There must be at least one chaperone per every 30 children. Additional fees may apply if student:chaperone ratio exceeds 10:1.
- Includes curriculum and on-site media educator facilitation.

What screening location needs to provide (day of screening):
- School staff person to be responsible for audio visual projection and amplification
- Multi-purpose room or assembly hall with a screen
- DVD player or laptop with LCD projector
- Separate speaker hook-up for sound (sound hook-up via a speaker system)
- Hand-held microphone for media educator (for larger groups)
AGE RANGES
We feature screenings for children and youth of all ages. Program age range suggestions are offered as a general guideline only.
- Pre-K & Kindergarten (Ages 2-5)
- Grades 1-3 (Ages 5-8)
- Grades 4-5 (Ages 8-11)
- Grades 6-8 (Ages 11-14)
- Grades 9-12 (Ages 14-18)
PROGRAM GUIDANCE 
Symbols will be used to mark programs that contain mild profanity (P), mild violence (V), or mature themes (M). The “M” symbol is similar to a PG rating.
SUBTITLES, NO PROBLEM!
Professional actors will read the English subtitles aloud for programs for kids 8 years old and under. The sound from the film will be audible while subtitles are read.
